Cache Col Banana Couloir
A modern classic at the pass, the Banana Couloir off of Magic Mountain offers a ripe descent down a significant feature.
The entire Pelton Basin is lined by a wall of North-facing steep ski terrain, but the most well-known line in the zone is probably the massive Banana shaped chute coming off the ridgeline west of Magic Mountain. The line can be climbed and skied from the Yawning Glacier, or descended top down from a traverse from Cache Col with safety tradeoffs to consider for either option.
Coming from Cache makes the route that much more scenic, completing the first section of the Ptarmigan Traverse (shared with the Magic S-Loop) and getting a head on view of nearby giants Spider and Formidable. A descent and climb up to a small col places one at the top of the sustained and ripable Banana, hopefully stable and ready to be peeled. First descent unknown.
