Approach for Lane Peak

From the parking lot, take the trail to the bridge across Narada Falls. From here, drop slightly and traverse skier's left at an elevation of about 4300 feet. Maintain this elevation until you hit Tattoosh Creek. Once you are across Tattoosh Creek, you should have views of Lane Peak. Ascend directly to the base at 5,000 feet (1 hour to here). From the base of Lane Peak, you are looking directly up The Fly. The Zipper enters from the skier's right. The Fly is the easier option.
