Arab Lake Gorge Loop
Arab Lake Gorge Loop is a 1.5 km loop hike in Frontenac Provincial Park, near Sydenham, Ontario. It’s typically done in about 30–60 minutes and is paced for easy going through a gorge setting.
The route uses valley-bottom paths with an extended boardwalk section, including boardwalk travel through low areas and along creek/valley features. Expect a mix of forest trail tread plus some rocky or rooty ground outside the boardwalk.
Start from the Park Office area. From there, the loop drops toward the gorge to reach the boardwalk portions and then works back to the Park Office by completing the circle.
A practical way to think about the terrain is “boardwalk-heavy in the low parts, more natural footing through the forest.” On the natural sections, there are described short patches that can feel rough compared with smooth boardwalk.
The loop is managed as an easy circuit within the Frontenac hiking network, and it’s often paired with other nearby short routes from the same Park Office area for a longer outing.
Management information for the park notes a daily vehicle permit requirement to enter Frontenac Provincial Park; reserve ahead when possible via the Ontario Parks reservation system. Dogs are permitted on leash, and the trail is also used for wildlife viewing and birding opportunities.
