Babyland
According to Kim Brown’s 6 part series, Baby land was initially planned out by himself and another local named Dave, who hiked up with their babies in backpacks, flagging the route with orange tape. It took a big effort to cut, at one point involving 9 people. The line is incredibly hard to sniff out, and I for one have never stayed on it for more than a little while. Whether you “find it” or not is not critical, as a nearby drainage will eventually funnel you to the Angel Food/Planets Traverse. Locate the taft lodge after skiing out of Profanity Chute, break left and follow the line of least resistance through conifer trees. Work your way down to the drainage. The line supposedly traverses left here to a glade directly above Angel Food. Most skiers, myself included, get lost here and battle some tighter spots in the drainage, until they pop out on the Angel Food Traverse. A great line to ski summit to base without utilizing the resort trails, but Hourglass to Hellbrook is still likely the highest quality way to do it.
