Balls Falls
A great powder stash, that’s unfortunately a pain to get to. Balls Falls is the biggest waterfall cliff on the Kitchen Wall. It’s clearly visible from the Quad, but getting there is counterintuitive enough to keep the crowds. Traverse as for Bypass Chutes, pass the Diving Board, and keep traversing until you arrive at a cliff, look for a bootpack behind you. Hike up briefly, then traverse again to a second bootpack, by now you can see the edge of the falls. Bootpack up to the ice, and the line reveals itself. You can clearly drop in from the left or right side, or you can huck the ice cliff in the middle. Ski the triangular slide path, then work your way down through the woods to Rimrock.
