Bruce Trail - Beaver Valley

Bruce Trail – Beaver Valley is the easy long-distance hiking route that runs through the Beaver Valley section, spanning the Craigleith to Blantyre end points in Ontario, Canada.

This section links major waterfalls and notable corridor features. It connects Eugenia Falls to Hogg's Falls, with route character that includes steep ascents and descents early in the hike before easing for long stretches.

Expect a mix of terrain types as you move between the escarpment and the forested and open areas of the Loree Forest above Nottawasaga Bay, including time walking through open meadows/fields and then into deeper woodland.

Route-high ground shows up around the Loree Forest and beyond, with key landmarks in the broader Beaver Valley stretch such as Kimberley Rock and Old Baldy rising above the village of Kimberley.

For planning purposes, this Beaver Valley section is commonly described at about 114–119 km for the full Craigleith-to-Blantyre stage; a shorter out-and-back experience is also reported around 9.4 km roundtrip (about 2.5–3 hours for that shorter version).

One compact way people test-drive the section is a hike starting near the 4th Line and 21st Sideroad area, then heading east to the Beaver Valley start (the end of the Blue Mountains section), returning by going through the Len Gertler Memorial Loree Forest.
