Route Details

Camber Alert is a short, technical downhill slab ride in the DeBeck’s Hill / Diamond Head area of Squamish, British Columbia. Expect natural rock-slab sections that demand precise line choice, with tight switchbacks and steep rollovers that punish late braking.

The riding character is “short and sweet”: it typically comes together as a brief blast with a steep, compact descent (about 93 ft descent and ~771 ft measured distance on the common line). Difficulty is in the Black Diamond range, and the main skill load is control on rock and braking management at speed.

Prep around this trail like it’s a technical commitment: scout the slab features before you commit so you can pick your line through the rock sections. If it’s been wet or recently damp, treat the slab as high-slip—recon and decide whether to ride only when it’s dry and grippy.

In the Diamond Head / DeBeck’s Hill network, Camber Alert is often paired with nearby trails such as Dirty Jane Too, Shivering Timbers, Philly Cheese, or Prior Art to build a longer downhill session.
