Cheshire Kitten
Cheshire Kitten is a popular blue-rated singletrack in the Cat Lake/Alice Lake riding area of Squamish. In practice it’s a mellow, flowy cross-country run that works well as a connector inside bigger days, including laps that tie into Cheshire Cat, White Rabbit, and Wonderland.
The ride is short—about 661 m—with a modest amount of elevation loss (about 33 m). Expect it to move along quickly; it often takes around 4 minutes to complete when you’re just doing the line rather than a whole circuit.
The trail sits in the broader Diamond Head riding network, where the area’s mix ranges from machine-built flow to older, rock-and-root sections. Cheshire Kitten is best slotted into intermediate lap pacing rather than treated as a stand-alone big descent or a technical test.
For timing, it’s a high-demand option during May through August. It’s also commonly used as part of Cat Lake loops and similar short link-ups in the Cat Lake system.
