Hiking route49.7609° N, 125.8351° W
Elk Pass Exit
This track follows entirely the trail. The trail is well defined and flagged for most of the route, so if you find yourself bushwhacking or wallowing in slide alder without any sign of the route for more than 50', reverse course and look for it. It's worth the effort.
We also found that taking the dry riverbed wasn't worth the effort of getting over the boulders and logjams.
