Fisher Creek Trail
Fisher Creek Trail is a long-distance backcountry route in North Cascades National Park that runs from Easy Pass to the Thunder Creek Trail. It’s typically used as a multi-day wilderness traverse because it links major trail systems rather than functioning as a simple out-and-back.
The climb starts with steep travel up to Easy Pass, where you get a pass-top transition into the Fisher Creek drainage. From there the route drops into Fisher Creek Valley and continues through forested terrain toward the junction area on the Thunder Creek system.
The middle and lower stretches are in mature forest and valley bottoms, including the Cosho Camp area and then farther down-valley to Junction Camp near Fisher Creek on a ridge overlooking Thunder Creek Valley.
Continuing along the same corridor takes you into the Thunder Creek Trail network and onward toward Park Creek Pass and the Stehekin Valley option, but Fisher Creek Trail itself is the link across Easy Pass to meet that larger network.
The pass and surrounding high country can hold steep snow into summer; an ice axe may be needed to move safely over snowfields on or near the north side of the Easy Pass approach during early season.
Overnight use requires a North Cascades National Park backcountry permit, with camping not allowed at Easy Pass itself; Fisher Camp sits in the basin below the pass for those camping in the Fisher Creek area.
