Hurribaker Solstice Epic ☄️

In disbelief that we actually pulled this off. When Stef Curtis told me about this staggering idea a year ago, I questioned the feasibility of completing it in a single push. Two of the biggest road climbs in Washington separated by over 350 km? Woof. I was scared to attempt this and did not think I was going to make it up Baker. After waking up from a nap on the sidewalk in Maple Falls, I told Stef to climb Baker without me and pick me up on his way back. "You can do this," he told me, and I believed him enough to try it. So grateful for Stef for dreaming this up, convincing me to come along, pulling for the majority, and having the best attitude throughout. His presence significantly elevates this sort of mission. Proud of him for getting Key Ride stats: - 57 minutes of sleep (0 minutes for Stef) - 4 liters of chocolate milk - 3 ferries (one missed) - 32.5 hours elapsed excluding ferries Happy Solstice!
