The hike is accessed from McLean Creek Trail, a gravel road that connects Hwy 66 to Hwy 549. The road is easily driven in a regular 2-wheel drive car but is closed from Dec 1 to Apr 30 each year. Park where the gated oil & gas service road leaves McLean Trail. Hike the service road to the well sites. (Mountain bikes would work well). From the well-sites an old cut-line heads over a small hill. Follow the cut-line to a cross-roads, turn right and the geodetic survey point marking the summit is a short distance away. Bell cell coverage is available on the summit.
