Lymphatic and Buccal/Intraoral Demo + TMD specialist results!

Photos are my 3D modeled face: You can see my jaw has healed (accident was 8/11/2023) without being set. The reason I am seeing a specialist now was due to dental work on 7/10/2026 that locked my jaw closed, only able to open a few mm or abt pinky width. This is the main reason I will DNS San Juan Softie 100 this weekend. I am unable to eat enough pain free to make it worth it at this time. My time will come. As you can see in the joint imaging some angles are off and the broken condyle healed out of socket (left side of the top down imaging of the joints, right side of my face) causing osteoarthritis on the other side (right of image, left of face) due to compensating the past 3 years. Coincidentally this massage demo coincided with me getting an early cancellation admission to a TMJ specialist yesterday out here on the front range who has been the most thorough doctor that I've ever had the pleasure of working with In my entire life. he spent two hours with me in the room and gave me a lot of hope that i would be able to fix my jaw functionality and have a normal life so i'm very happy with that and i look forward to using some of this intraoral and buccal massage to open up my jaw enough to be able to get the treatment that I need to make everything functional again. He coached me on doing some trigger point and stretching of the masseters. Which he says are tighter than beans . And that's why I can't get my mouth open more than a few millimeters. I'm currently sitting at about one finger width of opening which sucks for eating. And it's probably the main reason I've decided to DNS this Ultra that would have been this weekend. Between that and working at the restaurant that quit a month ago (they were totally violating labor laws locking the break room and not allowing me to eat enough to keep up with my training) I ended up losing about 25 pounds. And started to have some issues with my back and all this is really linked to the jaw as well (but super aggravated by the labor law violations) so it just makes sense not to push the limits right now and try and get everything back to functionality and put some weight back on healthily. (hence the gym and slow return to running). Also to take this time to really soak in school and continue to have fun and enjoy my massage therapy classes. A minor setback on a long road of my lifelong dream to become a true hardrocker one day. The lymphatic stuff was cool too and can be beneficial to athletes as well which i thought wouldnt be the case given that active exercise moves lymph. I was weong on that and it can be used to help clear lactic acid and toxins that can indeed lead to performance enhancement. It’s also quite relaxing and trance like. Very delicate pressure (think just moving the hairs on the top of the skin) and is proven with science to send the recipient into a deep parasympathetic response. Grateful to be where i am today and excited for my future! 32 Training Load -- from COROS
