Marsh Boardwalk
Marsh Boardwalk is a 1 km loop hike in Point Pelee National Park (Ontario), built as a boardwalk route through inland marsh habitat.
The route is very easy and stays flat, with a boardwalk surface designed to keep feet on dry ground while moving through cattail mats, turtles and lily-pad areas.
Expect a short walk time of about 45 minutes on the boardwalk loop, plus time at the observation tower and viewing points.
A common start is from the boardwalk with the observation tower beside the loop; the tower itself is not accessible, but the telescopes and marsh viewing are part of the experience.
Management focuses on protecting sensitive wetlands: boardwalk routing guides hikers through areas that would otherwise be difficult to access without damaging habitat.
For planning, Parks Canada lists the Marsh Boardwalk loop as operating on a typical warm-season schedule, with park trail maps available for route connection to other nearby hikes in Point Pelee.
