Omega Wall

Omega Wall is a small trad-climbing cliff near Cat Lake in Squamish, with granite that has a basalt-like feel. The wall faces west toward the Tantalus Range and Omega Mountain, and its four listed trad climbs span 5.11c to 5.12a: Megalodon, The Mastodon, Sabretooth, and Omnivorous. A separate V6 boulder problem, Oh Mega!, is also associated with the wall.

The climbing is athletic, with splitter cracks, strong protection, and bouldery cruxes. Megalodon uses small RPs and small cams at its crux; The Mastodon follows a thin, left-leaning splitter; Sabretooth combines steep movement with a protected splitter headwall; and Omnivorous finishes with a pumpy traverse and technical finale.

The main approach is from Brohm FSR: continue past the Cat Lake boulders, take the left-hand spur, and drive to its end. From there, walk south across the cut block to a rocky clearing roughly 200 m away, then follow the rough trail to the cliff. The spur approach requires vehicle clearance and AWD; an alternative is an easy bushwhack up from the main Cat Lake FSR road, without a trail.

The wall receives filtered sun after 11 a.m., while seepage can persist after rain.
