Playground Gully

This is a short but very aesthetic gully on the Spruce Peak side of Smugglers Notch. From the height of land on Notch Road, near some large boulders, locate where the gully spills directly into the road and bootpack up it till it terminates in rocks and trees. The beautiful ice slab to climbers left is The Playground WI3-4, the route this gully is named for. Drop in and make steep turns in the upper section. The gully pinches at a dog leg. Make a few tight turns between the ice on the right and the rock wall on the left, hang a left and make more open turns down to the notch road.
