Slippery Salmon
Route Details
Slippery Salmon is a downhill-only singletrack built around tight, intermediate jump features in the Alice Lake & Highlands riding area of Squamish. Expect berms and small tabletop-style jumps, with a fast, flow-focused feel rather than climbing or sustained pedaling on the line.
For setup, focus on jump entry speed and bike stability—this is the kind of trail that stays “sporty” even when the features look compact. Because it’s a jump track, inspect the takeoff/landing zones before you roll and avoid pushing the line when it’s wet or recently damp, since traction and consistency matter on berms and jump lips.
The trail was built by Curtis Bennett in 2019, using permit work gathered in November 2018 and supported by community funding and a rough-it-in crew with an excavator; much of the shaping was hand-built with help from friends and a short trail-crew week.
It connects into the Alice Lake trail network for laps: if you want another run, take the climb trail on the north side of the lower half at the edge of the powerlines rather than trying to ride up the jump line itself.
