Route Details

“Tracks From Hell” is a blue-rated, intermediate-friendly singletrack/boardwalk link in Squamish’s Alice Lake and Highlands area. It rides between Edith Lake and Mashiter Trail and is known for its elevated wooden “skinny” boardwalk section over swampy ground, plus rooty riding through the rest of the corridor.

Expect a mostly flat, multi-directional feel: minimal net climbing, with a narrow bridge/boardwalk feature and tight surface control where the wood runs. The trail is signed for both directions, so plan your approach based on how you want to hit the skinny/bridge portion.

For planning, start from Alice Lake Provincial Park as the closest common parking point, then build your lap or larger loop off nearby Alice Lake/Highlands trails (including Mashiter Trail). Ride with an eye on current conditions—recent reports have included trees down across the boardwalk/skinny section—so scout that area before committing, especially after wind events or storms.
