Two Ocean Basin Trail
Two Ocean Basin Trail (NFS Trail 6107, ref TR 6107) is a long-distance hiking route in Wyoming’s Bridger-Teton National Forest, near Moran and Dubois.
The route runs about 3.9 miles one-way and is designated for foot travel; surface is ground, and the trail follows a path corridor that stays unblazed for much of its length.
A typical progression is a transition from a double-track forest service road into a more rugged corridor, which is why you’ll want navigation discipline even on a relatively short outing.
Management of the corridor reflects its primary authorization: hikers are allowed, but the route is also used by snowmobilers, including in winter.
Because the route is unblazed much of the way, plan on carrying a map and using turn-by-turn navigation off your device/track rather than expecting marked trailheads and junctions to be obvious.
This area sits in Greater Yellowstone grizzly and black bear habitat; carry bear spray and follow proper food and safety practices while hiking in the backcountry.
