Route Details

Wonderland is a short XC singletrack in the Alice Lake & Highlands area near Squamish, ridden as a mellow, flowy out-and-back or as part of local trail loops. The mapped difficulty is green, and the trail’s character is mostly smooth with small roots and low wooden features that include optional ride-around lines rather than forcing a single choice.

The ride has a light pump-track feel through the downhill sections, with low bridges and low-altitude skinnies (6–12") that have ride-arounds. Expect multi-use traffic—hikers, trail runners, and other bikes share the tread—so keep your line predictable and slow down where people converge.

Construction and maintenance keep the tread in usable shape for year-round riding at low elevation, but water management is a recurring theme on this trail network. After wet weather, some sections can hold mud or water; a scout roll-through helps you pick the cleanest line, and giving it a couple of dry days reduces the chance of slick, standing-water sections.

Volunteers have been doing ongoing work to improve accessibility and sustainability in the Alice Lake portion, including widening pinch points/bridge work and improving drainage and rough sections to make the trail easier to navigate for more riders. Recent upgrades have targeted constrictions that limited passage, with additional work phased in as capacity allows.
