Acropole des Draveurs Trail

Acropole des Draveurs Trail is a day-hike in Parc national des Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie (Charlevoix, QC) and is one of the most demanding routes in the Sépaq network.

Expect a steep, rocky climb with big rock and root steps, especially in the first 2–3 km. The elevation gain is about 800 m over a round trip that’s roughly 11.2 km to the 3rd summit.

The route is built around 3 distinct summits. Many hikers push to at least the first Acropole marker, but the full experience is the progression up the three high points rather than just a single lookout.

There’s a dry toilet between kilometres 2.5 and 3, and distance signage continues through the ascent so you can pace yourself by kilometre markers.

For pacing and effort, plan about 4–6 hours total. The descent is a retrace of the ascent route, and the uneven rock surfaces make footing management a priority.

Seasonal access matters: the trail is closed during winter and typically reopens in mid-June. It’s generally usable through the hiking season until the Thanksgiving-weekend window in October.

Dogs aren’t allowed on the trail.
