Alpinum Juliana, Alpine botanical garden

This is Slovenia's first and only Alpine botanical garden in natural surroundings. It is protected as a monument of landscaped nature and a natural treasure of national importance. / It was founded in 1926 by Albert Bois de Chesne, a friend of Julius Kugy. / The Alpinum Juliana botanical garden is located in the heart of the Triglav National Park at an altitude of some 800 m, covering an area of 2572 m². Visitors can admire over 600 different plant species.
