Broadway Ledge

Broadway Ledge is a descent and walk-off point on the Stawamus Chief’s Apron in Squamish, connecting the South, Central, and North Apron climbing areas. It is used by routes including St. Vitus’ Dance, Banana Peel, and Slab Alley.

From the ledge, the standard descent follows the south trail. Climbers approaching it from North Apron routes may need to make an exposed traverse to the top of Diedre before continuing onto the usual walk-off toward the forest. Desert Dyke provides an alternative approach.

Several significant Apron climbs finish at or reach Broadway Ledge. Banana Peel is an eight-pitch, 400 m trad route rated 5.7; Slab Alley is approximately 290 m, commonly rated 5.8, with spaced protection and runnel-style slab climbing.
