Cabane A. Bonnet
Cabane A. Bonnet is a small, unstaffed backcountry cabin in the Belledonne massif near Saint-Martin-d’Uriage, at 1,265 m. It was built in 1938 by A. Bonnet for woodcutters and later renovated with support from the Saint Martin d’Uriage municipality.
The cabin is reached from Saint-Martin-d’Uriage via routes marked in yellow from either Les Seiglières or the Casse-Rousse parking area. Facilities include toilets and a stove/wood-burning heating setup; there is no water available at the cabin itself, so plan to carry what you need.
Use is first-come, first-served with no advance booking system; because it can fill up, bring proper overnight gear in case you end up camping right outside the shelter. The cabin is for bivouac-style use (basic shelter), so pack a sleeping setup and expect emergency-level comfort rather than staffed hut services.
