Cabane de Brouffier

Cabane de Brouffier is a closed, unstaffed pastoral cabin in the Taillefer massif at 2,154 m, kept for pastoral and emergency use rather than public overnight lodging. It sits under the Pas de la mine next to Lac de Brouffier, with access approaches described from the Lac de Poursollet area (via the combe Oursière and the Brouffier ridge) or from Alpe du Grand Serre via the Louvet and the combe Guiliman.

Plan on self-sufficiency: the cabin is shut and key access is not for general hikers, and there’s no nearby stream source —water is linked to the lake rather than a reliable spring. Treat it as a daytime landmark/turnaround point: no public booking or stay planning is intended, with use limited to the pastoral/authorized needs.
