Cabane de Peyregrand
Cabane de Peyregrand is a small, unstaffed stone shelter (1931 m) in the French Pyrenees, used as a backcountry stop on the GR10 area. The hut is open for anyone, with limited sleeping space and a first-come, first-served use style—plan to share the interior.
Inside, it’s a rustic setup with a concrete floor. The sleeping area is built around two sleeping platforms with mattresses (about 6 places), plus a small table and two stools. A stove is available, and there is electricity powered by solar for lighting and radio; however, wood nearby is very limited, so plan to bring what you need (or be ready for a long search).
Water is available close to the hut (within about 100 m). There are no latrines, and there is no fireplace provided; nights are straightforward self-service backcountry conditions rather than a managed refuge.
