Dad Bod Wall
Dad Bod Wall is the shorter right-hand sector of Family Crag, next to the taller Multinational Wall. It offers five sport routes, with grades from 5.10b to 5.11d: Fit Mum, Kid Play, Dad Bod, Honey I'm Late, and Workin' the Angles.
The routes are compact, reaching up to 25 metres and no more than nine bolts; a 60 m rope is ideal, while a 50 m rope requires care and a knot in the end. Anchors have chains and biners, and top-ropers should use their own draws. A stick clip is kept at the wall for shared use.
The sector includes several distinct movement styles. Fit Mum (5.11c) starts with bouldery climbing on an overhanging crack before moving into face laybacks; Dad Bod (5.11d) has a high first bolt and a reach-dependent crux. Kid Play (5.11b) shares that first bolt before moving left, while Honey I'm Late and Workin' the Angles are both 5.10b, following straighter and diagonal lines respectively.
Helmets are mandatory at this new crag, where loose rock—including thin bands of exfoliating quartz—should be expected.
