Freilichtmuseum Ravelnik

A short well-arranged path through a small forest will take you to the renovated remains, which show what life was like on the first defence line of the Austro-Hungarian army in Bovška kotlina. / You will be able to see many firing and connecting trenches, caverns, bunkers, renovated shacks and a crater on top, which was left behind after the only grenade that hit these positions during the war. The task of the base on the small hill Ravelnik (519 m) was to defend the strategically important road over the Predel mountain pass. The road was incredibly important for supplying soldiers with ammunition, food and medicine.
