Greens Valley Trail
Greens Valley Trail is an easy out-and-back hiking route in Pennsylvania’s Bald Eagle State Forest, accessed near Spring Mills. It’s about 9.2 miles round-trip, typically taking around 3 to 3.5 hours at a steady pace.
The route stays on wide, double-track gravel/ground tread for much of the way. Expect sections with rocky footing, plus mud holes and muddy/rain-season puddles that can slow you down if the ground is wet.
For a portion of the hike, the trail runs alongside Little Poe Creek, giving you a consistent water-adjacent corridor while you move through the forest.
Route planners should treat the end point as a turnaround: the trail continues down a drivable portion toward private-property access, but the intent for hikers is to turn around near the little turnaround area rather than push on through private frontage.
