Mackays Hut
Mackays Hut is a wilderness cabin used for backcountry overnight stays in Kosciuszko National Park. It sits on the trail between O'Keefes and the Gungahlin River.
The hut’s alternate names include Tibeaudos Hut (and Mackeys). It was built in 1944–45 by Norm and Sam Mackey for grazing, and the chimney was rebuilt by NPWS in 2010 with asbestos sheeting removed. Mackays Hut consists of two rooms with an iron roof/walls, a timber floor, and a stone fireplace with an iron flue.
