Maelstrom

Maelstrom is an MTB line in the Maelström sector of Sentiers du Moulin (Lac-Beauport, near Québec City). The sector is built around technical enduro riding where the natural granite terrain sets the line, with a focus on committed slab work and steep, technical descents.

Ride expectations skew technical: long granite slabs and sustained, precise descent riding are the core theme of Maelström. For the SDM network overall, the trails rely on rock armoring and massive wooden structures in critical areas, a construction approach meant to keep the trail quality consistent under heavy traffic; plan your session around posted signage and the current trail-access rules.
