The Kattegatcenter is located at the port of Grenaa, right on the Kattegat. That is why we can see, smell and feel the sea year in and year out. Exactly the right thing for crazy sea lovers like us! Fortunately, we are not the only ones who love the sea. The Kattegatcenter was opened in 1993 - since then we have welcomed more than 6 million visitors. We expand your knowledge of marine life - our knowledgeable staff tell a flood of stories that you will never forget. With humor and warmth we convey experiences that spread like rings in the water. As soon as you know more about the sea, you will also take better care of the marine environment. We also make our knowledge and our facilities available to companies as well as training and research facilities so that together we can secure the future of the sea and further develop its great potential. The Kattegatcenter is a so-called legal, corporate foundation ("selvejende fond") and is operated on a non-profit basis. In addition to the exhibition areas, the Kattegatcenter also has an active school department, which is used by over 12,000 school and university students every year.
