Refugio de pastor

Refugio de pastor is a alpine hut in France. It is also known locally as Refugi de pastor. It is best planned as a self-sufficient stopover rather than a staffed lodging service.

Treat the hut as a basic backcountry shelter with limited services. Bring a sleeping bag, food, lighting, a first-aid kit, water or a treatment method, toilet paper, and pack-out bags; add stove/fuel and cold-weather or avalanche equipment when the season and terrain require it.

Use the surrounding area for hiking, mountain travel, ski touring, or other backcountry travel appropriate to the local trail network and conditions. Use is generally treated as no-fee, but access rules can change.
