Sabbaday Brook Trail
Sabbaday Brook Trail is a National Recreation Trail segment in White Mountains National Forest near the Kancamagus Highway (NH-112), connecting trailhead parking directly to the Sabbaday Falls area.
The short, signature hike is the out-and-back to Sabbaday Falls: about 0.4 miles out-and-back. Expect an easy walk through mature forest with a wide, fairly smooth tread and wooden stairs/railings reaching the falls viewing areas.
At Sabbaday Falls you’ll find cascades dropping through a narrow flume with informational signs describing exposed rock formations. The plunge pool is not for swimming.
For longer hikes, the Sabbaday Brook Trail continues beyond the falls toward the Sandwich Range Wilderness for an extended approach toward Mount Tripyramid; one common day use is an out-and-back roughly 10–11 miles.
Use the same trailhead area on the south side of the Kancamagus Highway near the parking lot off NH-112 (about 10 miles west of Conway). Parking is associated with a day-use fee collected at the trailhead kiosk.
Plan for wildlife and stream conditions: black bears are common in the region, and brook crossings can be difficult when water is high.
