Sauce Piquante

Sauce Piquante is a short, blue downhill line in the Sentiers du Moulin network (Lac-Beauport, Québec). It’s designed for speed and flow, with berms and a few built features like bridges and small rock modules.

The trail is oriented around developing jump-and-technique skills: expect sections that include drops/jumps and other “bike park” style features, with a setup that’s geared more to landing control and stability than to pedaling efficiency. Riders commonly chain it as one segment within longer SDM descents.

For timing, plan around the main season from May to October. The line is part of SDM’s bike-park network, so it’s typically best when trail surfaces are dry enough to hold grip through turns and takeoffs.

Because this is an engineered feature trail, do a quick pre-ride check of the takeoff/landing areas (especially after wet weather) and scout the trickiest features before committing—conditions can change traction and how the built elements roll through.
