Sentier des Nymphes

Sentier des Nymphes is a long-distance hiking route on the territory of the Zec des Nymphes, linking the Parc régional des Sept-Chutes (Saint-Zénon) area with the Réserve faunique Mastigouche area.

The route is laid out as an SNQ (Sentier national au Québec) member segment (ref 10) and is managed by Rando Québec (operator listed for the route).

Terrain is built around a rugged pattern: you gain elevations through crests with sometimes abrupt slopes, and you pass rocky outcrops/rocky exposures along the way.

Water access is a defining element. The trail runs along the rivière Mastigouche and continues past Lac Perdu, where you cross the water while following a beaver dam/barrage of castors.

At about km 6.7, there is access to a lean-to (leanto) on the route, and another lean-to is found at km 15.2.

Mapping for route planning is available with a dedicated guide and GPS track for the SNQ itinerary. The route is shown as linear, with a computed hiking distance of 7.88 km in the route data provided for this item.
