Teddington Hut
Teddington Hut is a historic hut in Kara Kara National Park that functions as a first-come, first-served camping base (no reservations are required). It sits beside the Teddington Campground area on the banks of Upper Teddington Reservoir, and is commonly used by bushwalkers, mountain bikers, and 4WD touring groups heading through the Kara Kara road and track network.
The hut and adjoining campsite are associated with a layout used by visitors for group stays, with camping restricted to the designated campground. Plan to be self-sufficient: bring your own drinking water and firewood. If the hut site is occupied, don’t enter—wait for availability at the designated campground. Kara Kara National Park camping is free, but public safety rules apply, including no dogs in the park and no campfires outside the permitted setup; firewood collection in the park is prohibited.
