Tenquille Lake Cabin
Tenquille Lake Cabin is a reservation-only backcountry cabin operated by Pemberton Wildlife Association in the Tenquille Lake to Owl Lakes Recreation Area. It provides shared indoor sleeping in a communal upper loft, and the cabin capacity is 12 guests maximum. Use is for non-commercial recreational purposes, with check-in from 3:00 pm and check-out at 11:00 am; quiet hours run 11:00 pm to 7:00 am.
The cabin rate is $25 per person per night. There’s no cell service at the cabin or tent sites, and guests must bring proof of booking to show the site operator on arrival; drop-in visitors are not permitted. On-site basics include sleeping pads, propane stoves for cooking (guests bring 1 lb green propane canisters), a wood stove for heat, solar LED lighting, and an outhouse (no shower). Dogs, pets, and horses are not permitted (registered Guide Dogs for the visually impaired are exempt), campfires aren’t permitted at the Tenquille Recreation Site, and no mechanized use is allowed (including mountain bikes, ATVs, motorbikes).
Plan for what to pack: bring your own sleeping bag and overnight gear, toilet paper and hand sanitizer, and proper navigation tools (map/GPS/offline navigation and backup batteries), plus food and water. There is no garbage removal, so pack out all garbage and food-related waste and do not leave propane canisters or other personal items behind.
