Tired Creek Trail

Tired Creek Trail (#1317) is a short, steep connector route in Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest that climbs from the vicinity of Pete Lake toward Polallie Ridge. It’s used to build longer backpacking loops into the Alpine Lakes Wilderness and to link with other nearby trail systems.

Route scale: about 5.11 km of trail length through the #1317 corridor, with enough grade changes that it reads as a moderate-to-strenuous climb for most hikers.

Start/connect: the trail begins at the Pete Lake Trail (#1323), where you can get oriented on the lower, easier tread before the ascent transitions into the Tired Creek route.

Climbing character: after leaving the Pete Lake Trail, it becomes a steep, switchback-heavy climb through dense timber into the upper basin of Tired Creek.

Water: creeks are available lower on the route, but as you gain elevation toward the ridge and upper basin, water becomes less reliable.

End/connect: the trail works its way to the Polallie Ridge Trail (#1309), where you can continue into the Alpine Lakes Wilderness or turn the segment into a larger loop with feeder trails.
