Tourbillon
Tourbillon is a primary climbing and transition line in the Sentiers du Moulin network in Lac-Beauport, Quebec. It’s the link route that moves you from the access climbs into the granite-slab riding zones, including routes associated with Slab City (via Crête du Lynx).
Expect an intermediate-style ride that supports both “get-up-and-go” climbing and flowing connection riding. It’s commonly used as a main access to the slab-heavy areas rather than as a standalone descent.
This trail sits in the Tourbillon sector, where builders have been expanding the network with additional trail miles for advanced-oriented slab riding. Plan on scouting the particular features you’ll encounter before committing through faster slab sections, especially after rain or in damp conditions when granite can get slick.
Before you go, check the day’s track status at Sentiers du Moulin because openings and closures can change with heavy rainfall; the network may switch modes (opening only some cross-country routes) during wet weather periods.
