Toxic Lichen
Toxic Lichen Wall is a granite sport-climbing crag in Chek, in Cheakamus Canyon near Squamish, British Columbia. The wall is predominantly vertical to overhanging and faces east, with morning sun. Its name comes from the yellow lichen on the cliff.
The crag is the first sector on the approach, reached by a gentle 5–10 minute walk and marked by a wooden sign. Nine sport routes range from 5.10a to 5.13b. The wall generally stays dry in light rain but can soak through during heavier rain.
Notable lines include Sacrilege, a three-pitch 5.10a sport climb measuring 78 m with 32 bolts, and the shorter, steeper Mr. Negative (5.12d, 12 m, 6 bolts) and Mrs. Negative (5.12a, 10 m, 7 bolts).
