Two Ocean Lake Trail
Two Ocean Lake Trail is a 6.1–6.4 mile loop in Grand Teton National Park, circling Two Ocean Lake completely from the Two Ocean Lake trailhead near the Pacific Creek area (near Moran).
The hike is described as moderate, with about 460–750 ft of elevation gain and an estimated 2.5–4 hours on the clock.
Most of the route stays focused on the lake and Tetons presence, passing through mixed forest and shoreline clearings as you work your way around the water.
For route feel, the loop is commonly hiked counterclockwise to prioritize Tetons views across the lake; either direction still keeps you on the full circuit around Two Ocean Lake.
Two Ocean Lake sits in bear country; moose, elk, and bears are frequently reported around the marshy lake areas, and carrying bear spray and knowing how to use it is emphasized.
If you want more mileage after completing the loop, there’s a documented option to connect with the Emma Matilda Lake Trail for a longer loop (about 13 miles).
