Twogood Cabin is a one-room wilderness backcountry cabin on Porcupine Creek in Montana’s Bitterroot National Forest. It sleeps up to 4 people with two bunk beds (and up to 4 more on camp pads and sleeping bags you bring). The cabin has a wood stove for heat, a two-burner propane stove for cooking, lanterns, a covered porch, and basic cookware/utensils; you’ll need to bring your own propane fuel canisters, bedding, towels, and toilet paper for the outhouse.

Use is reservation-based. The posted rate is $30 per night. Drinking water isn’t provided; Porcupine Creek is the sole source, and water should be boiled or purified (beaver dams are upstream). Access is via a 6-mile non-motorized trail: hike up from the Crazy Creek Campground trailhead along Warm Springs Creek to a confluence (“Three Forks”), then about one mile up Porcupine Creek to the cabin. Trails that access the cabin are open to hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking; off-road vehicles aren’t allowed. Winter access can require longer travel with skis or snowshoes, and the road to the trailhead may not be reachable by vehicle.

To lock in access, the cabin remains locked and you must obtain the current lock combination from the Darby-Sula Ranger Station about a week before arrival.
