Waterhole Hut

Waterhole Hut is a small historic hut in Namadgi National Park, in the Grassy Creek valley near the Settlers Track area. It was built in 1939 by Tom Oldfield, his son Jack, and Harry Tyrie, and later extended in the 1940s as shelter for stock work in the valley.

Use is generally for emergency shelter rather than regular recreational overnight stays; if you’re out walking the surrounding country, plan on camping nearby instead of treating the hut as a destination accommodation. No bookings are required to use the hut.
