Woodbury Bluffs

Woodbury Bluffs—also known as Woodbury Crag—is an east-facing granite crag near Woodbury Creek, north of Nelson. The bluff extends for several hundred metres and rises roughly 40–70 metres, with mostly half-pitch sport climbing alongside mixed routes and a small number of two- to three-pitch lines.

The area combines single- and multi-pitch climbing, with about 27 routes documented across sport and trad styles. Access involves a high-clearance drive on the Woodbury and Fletcher forest roads toward Spur 200, followed by an approach of approximately 10–15 minutes from the road; a cairn marks the trail start. Free camping is available at the site.
