Yonderland Rock
Yonderland Rock is a compact sport-climbing crag near Squamish, with 21 listed routes reaching up to about 15 m. The grades span 5.7 to 5.12b, including easier lines such as For Octogenarians and harder test pieces including Half a Dream and The Honey-do List.
Approach from the Fern Hill parking area at the end of the Powerhouse Springs Forest Service Road. Follow the Far Side trail for roughly 900 m and 10 switchbacks, then continue toward 5 Point Hill and up to the crag. The approach is about 1.4 km and takes approximately 20–25 minutes on foot, or around 10 minutes by bike; knotted ropes are used to reach the ledge below the routes.
The routes have lower-offs, and most are suited to 10–14 quickdraws. Use personal quickdraws when top-roping to reduce anchor wear. Some rock remains friable, so helmets are strongly recommended; the ledge access and rope-assisted approach are unsuitable for small children.
Yonderland Rock is shaded until around 2 p.m. and receives afternoon sun, with a regular breeze often helping maintain comfortable climbing conditions. The Big Roof project is closed and in progress.
