Mothership

Mothership is the first unmistakable large boulder on the approach to the Fantasyland climbing area above Arrow Lake. From the car, the approach takes about 20 minutes; another area description places the boulder roughly 10 minutes along the Fantasyland hiking trail above Rialto Creek Road.

The main boulder is exceptionally tall, with climbing of several types; many faces are better suited to roped climbing than ground-up bouldering. The northwest-facing Mothership Cave is the key bouldering sector, offering steep problems, powerful movement, and strong landings. The nearby Space Station satellite boulder adds several moderate problems and works well as a warm-up for the cave.
