Huntington Ravine Fire Road
For Harvard Cabin, leave the Tuckerman Ravine Trail at its signed Fire Road junction, 1.7 miles above Pinkham Notch. Follow the road for 0.3 miles to the avalanche information sign; the cabin is down a short spur on the right. The combined approach gains about 1,500 feet.
Do not confuse the Fire Road with Huntington Ravine Trail. The cabin operator recommends the road for winter access because the hiking trail has an unbridged river crossing and sees less winter use.
