Réserve faunique de Matane

The Fauna Reserves in Quebec have different legislation than the Parks, but they both have in common that you can't camp anywhere you want. L'Étang-à-la-Truite is the option for camping there.

Hiking trail (push bike only)

This trail connects to Cap-Bon-Ami. For now, the only option is to push your bike for this small stretch. But it is SO worth it (and the hike is quite flat and easy, except the end where it drops).

Camping platforms - truhiking

La Kalmia is a camping spot dedicated to tru-hikers walking the Quebec part of the International Appalachian Trail. Consider reserving a platform there for more tranquility than further in the Park.

Le Sentier des Lacs

The Lakes Trail is a very rough section, primarily designed for hikers and part of the International Appalachian Trail. The push-bikes are steep and exhausting. An easy detour would be to keep going on pavement to reach the 132, and then follow the coast.

The Bienvenue Cyclistes ! option allows bike tourists to find a camping spot without reservation, and it costs only 10 bucks for a spot, instead of 25-30.
