Haute-Maelstrom

Technical singletrack in the Maelström sector at Sentiers du Moulin. Formerly called Haute‑Maelstrom, now signed as Cathédrale. Black-level line with a short punchy approach to Mont Tourbillon, then mostly descending. One-way (downhill) with mixed rock slabs, rock gardens, and sculpted bridges; expect granite bedrock, skinnies, and a few mandatory moves.

From the SDM base area, follow signs into Secteur Maelström and gain Mont Tourbillon via the designated access trails; the start is near the summit. Ride heads toward the Maelstrom trail junction. Built and maintained by the Sentiers du Moulin trail crew.

Dry conditions are key here—granite holds but woodwork gets slick. Check SDM’s conditions page for daily openings and seasonal closures; a day pass is required. Yield to traffic, stay off closed trails, and respect e‑MTB rules posted on site.
